AFF PROGRAM

Accelerated Freefall Program

DC Skydiving Center offers the best skydiving lessons and instruction in the Washington D.C. area.

Our AFF Program is the newest and safest way to start your skydiving career.

After finishing the sky dive certification program, you will be amazed at what you discover in the world of skydiving - belly flying, freeflying (vertical flying), and skyboarding. Or, maybe try the new birdman suit!

Everything is just one leap away. For more info about becoming certified please call us.

Licensed skydivers can jump for around $25. What a way to spend your day! Explore Fauquier County's Parks & Trails in the morning, then solo jump at DC Skydiving Center in the afternoon. It just doesn't get any better than that!

On an Accelerated Freefall (AFF) jump, first-time students learn to skydive with their own parachute system, experiencing the thrill of freefall with two instructors at their side—not attached to them. AFF requires four to five hours of intense ground instruction, including learning body flight maneuvers and hand signals that instructors use to coach the student as they fly alongside. The instructors hold onto the student's harness until the student deploys his own parachute. He then makes a solo canopy descent, with radio instruction to help guide him to a safe landing.

Accelerated Freefall (AFF) USPA Integrated Student Program

*All student jumps are from 12,000' except the two "low solo" jumps mandated by the training program.
